Lesson 2

During the second lesson for fashion detail class , we recapped what we did last week . This lesson we were required to bring sketchbook , pencil and a piece of clothing which consists of a few others fashion details . I chose a pink crop top with waistband and high collar . 

We were asked to draw the clothing that we brought both the front and the back view . This is the first time I ever experience this in class ! I had loads of fun and we even got to exchange clothing with our partner and draw the clothing they brought as well . 

After finished drawing , our lecturer told us to walk around and view other classmates work , this got to broaden my knowledge and get to know how other people drawing perspective look like ! 

Lesson 1

Prior to the first lesson that I had in class during fashion details class, i've got to broaden my knowledge on details in fashion making . During the first part of the lesson we got to know more on the module and understand how the entire module will be like in the next few months . Having been able to work in a mid-end retail store i was interested in details on clothings and how to make a clothing more desirable in the market .

We were asked on a few questions example , what are fashion details ? & How can the application of details in design work improve and make design more desirable and delight the customers? These two questions had me thinking as i tried to stand in the customer's 'shoe' and went into a scenario where i am the customer. Fashion details to me is the delicate detail on each and every clothing . I feel that the quality of fabric , pattern , colour combination and fitting is important on a clothing . Simple details like those can easily catch the attention of a potential customer .

Following after those questions we were given a few common questions where we have to name a few names of collars , sleeves , hemline and edge , fastener , pockets and fabrics . I definitely had fun during that process as i got to open up to more unfamiliar words that i've never encountered . In this lesson i got to know a little more on fashion and how details on a clothing is equally important as well .
